Another listed building approval for Dandelion Seeds Architects - 11 Hammet Street is listed at Grade II*

11 Hammet Street forms part of a terrace of late 18th century townhouses constructed c.1788-90 when the street was laid out by Sir Benjamin Hammet (MP for Taunton, Keeper of the Castle etc).

Hammet Street is listed at Grade II*, recognising its high levels of architectural and historic significance. Only 5.8% of listed buildings achieve this grade, which denotes the building’s more than special interest. It is also located within the St Mary and St James Conservation Area, the character and appearance of which it is desirable to preserve and enhance.

Our design seeks to conserve the currently water damaged heritage asset of 11 Hammet Street both visually and in terms of its historic significance through a change of use from commercial to residential. Ensuring that the listed building can be enjoyed and put to viable uses for this and future generations.
